Darlington is an action and results oriented risk management and insurance practitioner with over 25 years executive experience gained from working in various countries across Sub Saharan Africa.  He is an expert on global and multinational insurance programmes and has an extensive network and knowledge of African and global insurance markets.

As Regional Director at Aon South Africa, Darlington advised multinationals on insurance and risk management strategies to ensure compliance and relevance of their risk transfer programmes.  More recently, as a former CEO at Allianz Ghana, he led high-performing teams who helped the business to grow through client-centred strategic solutions.  He introduced the company’s digital transformation journey to improve their clients’ experience as well as enhancing their capacity to solve risk and business-related challenges.

 

Alongside his work at RISCS CWC, Darlington works with global and regional technology companies to identify and deploy emerging technologies for the benefit of the insurance industry.

 

Darlington is an associate of The Insurance Institute and completed the executive development program from the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
